Under the law, they were residing in this country illegally, they got caught and should be deported. End of story. That's the issue here and nothing else.

She has a legitimate student visa, she can stay until it expires. She does not need to have her entire family here while she attends college.

''It was heartbreaking for me,'' Pacheco said Tuesday during a news conference at the office of the family's attorney, Ira Kurzban. ``I never imagined something like this would happen just because I have been outspoken in saying that every human being has a right to an education.''
Well too bad Not every human being has the right to an education in the United States, especially illegal invaders who are being subsidized by American Citizens, some of which cannot even afford to send their own kids to college. Go back to Ecuador and demand they educate every human being

You should have kept your big mouth shut! I'm sick and tired of illegals flaunting the fact they are breaking our laws and then throwing it in our faces. I realize you have a student visa, but your family is going back to where they belong. Get over it or go with them.

Illegals always have an excuse for everything. They never take responsibility for their own actions.

They over stayed their visas and become Illegal Aliens so why were they not deported immediately ?

Why are they still here wasting tax payer money and clogging our judicial system when they are clearly in violation of our immgration law ?

Why was the daughter given a student visa ,when again, they were here illegally and she is an agitator trying to change our laws to benefit IA's ?

We need quicker trials and deportations .Lets get congressional members elected who will listen to and honor "We The People".

We also have the right not to be raped by illegal aliens stealing benefits they are not entitled to (and paid for by US)!

Your K-12 education was paid for by US taxpayers, nowhere in any way, shape or form does it say we have to pay your way through college! Going to college is NOT a right, it's a choice and YOU pay for it or you don't go.

The DREAM Act is not about giving every human being the right to an education. It's about Americans being FORCED to subsidize illegals that want to go to college. I got my own kids to pay for, you are NOT my responsibility!

....violence in Ecuador in 1993? They are liars...there was no civil war or unrest there in 1993....Ecuador is not like El Salvador or Guatemala....in terms of violence. This family came here on tourist visas with every intent on staying here illegally (and, probably by lying to immigration and consulare officials in Ecuador when obtaining/applying for the tourist visa from the U.S. Embassy). If they truly feared some type of persecution ...then why didn't they apply for asylum or refugee status?

Gaby bit the hand that provided her and her illegal alien relatives with free public schooling, medical care, and all kinds of benefits and privileges of residency ..... Too bad, so sad.

Hooray for Florida! Now, if we could just follow suit with the remaining 38M, life would be wonderful
