I can understand your feelings, and maybe I agree about cutting certain funding to sanctuary cities, but why hurt the innocent legal citizens. I don't live in a sanctuary city, I don't travel to sanctuary cities if I can help it. I can't get my state government to listen to me anymore than I can the federal government. If federal funding was cut off to California, would that mean we don't need to pay federal taxes. We would need the extra money since our state taxes would go up even more than they are.

Should I pack up and leave California, sure I would like to but what would I do with my 93 year old mother-inlaw that has lived in this house since 1932. Her grandfather was born in a covered wagon along the Sacramento river during the goldrush. You try telling her she doesn't have the right to live out her remaining life in her home, that she needs to leave California.

My point is don't forget that there is more in so-called sanctuary states than politicans and illegal immigrants. There are many true Americans

If the Federal Goverment threatened to cut off funds to the states who refuse to enforce the laws you can bet they would end the practice of sanctuary for illegals...believe me these states need the federal funding, most states would go broke with out it.

But the whole country should not be responsible for states like Calif. who keep letting illegal get benefits and then expect the rest of the country to pay for it.
