Fatal Arizona Home Invasion Sparks Fears of Mexican Military Involvement

An Arizona home invasion allegedly orchestrated by Mexican citizens wearing tactical gear sparked fears that members of the Mexican military were involved in a wave of violent crime in the Phoenix area, according to local reports.

Police followed the sound of gunshots early Monday morning to the home of 30-year-old Andrew Williams, whose bullet-riddled body was found inside, the Arizona Republic reported. Officers then pursued a report of a suspicious Chevrolet Tahoe in the vehicle and arrested three suspects, all wearing body armor and carrying assault-style rifles.

A statement by one of the suspects that he had received prior military training fueled speculation into the fact that they were members of the Mexican military. Phoenix police said Wednesday that none of them were active members.

However, in a radio interview this week, Phoenix Law Enforcement Association President Mark Spencer said the men involved were hired by drug cartels to carry out home invasions and assassinations.

Cops believe three more suspects are still at large.

"We have seen an increasing amount of these type of violent crimes in the past five months," Phoenix Police Sgt. Joel Tranter told the Arizona Republic. "We want the public to realize that these types of crimes will not be tolerated in Phoenix."

None of the men accused in a deadly west Phoenix home invasion this week is an active member of the Mexican military, according to Phoenix police.

Daniel Garcia-Saenz, 24; Manual Garcia-Trejom, 25; and Rodolfo Madrigal Lopez, 19, were arrested Sunday night in connection with the slaying of Andrew Williams, 30, who was gunned down in his home in the 8300 block of West Cypress Avenue.

The assailants wore body armor, had assault-style rifles and used more than 100 rounds of ammunition.

After the arrests, one of the men - whom police have not identified - told a police officer that he had received some military training, said Sgt. Joel Tranter, a police spokesman.

That statement launched speculation that members of the Mexican army invaded the home.

A top member of a Phoenix police union is standing by reports that at least one of the men involved in a Monday morning home invasion and homicide was an active member in the Mexican Army. Click Here for the update.

"Even if you put aside the Mexican military, you have illegals in the country...they're protected with tactical gear using tactical strategies in police uniforms willing to ambush police officers. I think that's bad enough," said Mark Spencer, President of the Phoenix Police Enforcement Association.

While on the J.D. Hayworth show Tuesday, Mark Spencer announced that the suspects were hired by drug cartels to perform home invasions and murders.

The incident at 8329 W. Cypress St. resulted in the death of the homeowner. Between 50 and 100 rounds were fired at the house.

Spencer said a police officer told him that one of the men captured said they were completely prepared to ambush Phoenix police, but ran out of ammunition.

He added that all were all dressed in military tactical gear and were armed with AR-15 assault rifles. Three other men involved in the invasion escaped.

However, Phoenix Police have not confirmed the men were Mexican Army members.

Sgt. Joel Tranter said one suspect revealed that he had "prior military training," but "no credible evidence" that any of them were active in the military.

I don't care about their connection to the Mexican Military, this fact alone is the worst part of this story. It means Mexico's Drug war is in America.

My question is, were those murders foreign nationals or Americans?

This happening in the state where the man who wants to be our president is a senator no less!!

If this is the state of affairs in his own state, Arizona, then just what will the rest of the country be in store for should he win?!
