Federal bill OKs tourists from Russia, China

Citing the CNMI's unique economic situation, the newly drafted CNMI immigration bill aims to allow uninterrupted entry of tourists from Russia and China and all countries currently visiting the NMI.

The local tourism industry earlier expressed apprehension over the federal government's possible prohibition against Russian and Chinese tourists in the CNMI in case of a federal takeover.

The bill specifically created a sub-section, “Avoiding Adverse Effects,â€
