Feds Raid San Francisco Antique Stores
http://abclocal.go.com/kgo/story?sectio ... id=3786937
By Vic Lee
Jan. 5 - KGO - The FBI and the IRS raided more than half a dozen antique shops in San Francisco today.
Altogether, 150 federal agents participated in the huge operation, including agents from the FBI, Immigration & Customs, Fish & Game and the IRS.
The agents raided eight stores located in Fisherman's Wharf and Union Square, as well as warehouses on the piers.
Almost all of those taken into custody are allegedly undocumented workers.
A source close to the investigation tells ABC7 that authorities believe all of the eight businesses targeted are somehow affiliated. The same names, the source says, keep showing up in store ownership documents seized by federal investigators.
Lawyer Edwin Prather represents at least several of the stores, but declined to say whether all eight businesses are owned by the same company.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)
