Dancing Nun Fundraiser
Sunday, January 14, 2007 8:14:06 AM
Many Catholic nuns kicked off their traditional habits to dance the night away at this fundraiser last night in Altamonte Springs.
These nuns serve the Office for Farmworker Ministry, based in Apopka. They were looking to raise money for a new community center that will provide services such as counseling and after-school programs for the growing number of immigrant farm workers and low-income families living in Central Florida.
Sister Anne Kendrick from the Office for Farmworker Ministry said, "We're committed especially to helping immigrants adjust to life in the United States and actually to enrich our community by bringing to us some of their values and cultural values, family values, things that will help to improve our own North American society."
Construction is already underway for the $1.7 million Hope Community Center.
The sisters hope to have the center up and running sometime this summer.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

Well I didn't see these Nuns fund raising for the little children that was abused at the hands of the pedophile priest. Oh no, they must be silent when it comes to the Children of this country.

I agree totally! It is ourageous how they can keep the blinders on the eyes and muzzle on the mouth about anything horrific that happens within their church, however anything that will strengthen them in numbers, power and money, no matter how bad it is for America, they back it whole heartedly and they do this all in the name of goodness and God.........It is just OUTRAGEOUSLY WRONG!

I think that people who aid illegals are out of touch with the political aspects of their generosity. There are many people who jump on a "good will" bandwagon without looking into it any further. Ignorance is a dangerous thing. And unfortunately, those are the people who normally yell the loudest.
