Immigrant charged with Mexico homicide deported

MIAMI -- Authorities say a Mexican national charged with homicide in his home country has been deported.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement reports that 31-year-old Jose Maneul Villegas-Felix was turned over Sept. 18 to Mexican authorities who were waiting for him at the airport in Mexico City.

Authorities in Sinaloa, Mexico issued an arrest warrant in 2002 for Villegas, charging him in the December 2001 murder of Regino Sepulveda-Mercado.

Villegas, who entered the United States illegally, was ordered removed by an immigration judge in May 2009.

So, what was the hold up? He should have been gone the day the judge ruled, although IMO it shouldn't have even taken a judge! Too bad we couldn't send all his relatives packing with him

I would say that quotas is part of the problem as well as Miami Dade and City of Miami police departments not being allowed to ask people about their immigration status.

Vortex: if ICE raided my condo complex they could easily get rid of several hundred. They could start with the cleaning and maintenance people. There are illegal Isrealis, Colombians, Eastern Europeans, Central Americans and more.
