In this 10 June 2026 video, host Cash Jordan talks about how due to mass rioting in certain sanctuary cities, the trump administration is revisiting a plan to ban sanctuary airports by re-allocating customs and border personnel to help secure detention facilities under pressure from lawless mobs.

While the presence of armed immigration enforcement officers at security gates has been highly controversial and logistically heavily criticized by labor unions, online video titles frequently use hyperbole—such as “seized” or “implodes”—to drive views on video-sharing platforms. The airport continues to operate under the authority of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, and standard commercial aviation traffic is ongoing.

The Trump administration deployed Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents to 14 major airports nationwide, including John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), LaGuardia Airport, and Newark Liberty International Airport. The initial deployment followed a severe, fatal runway collision at LaGuardia Airport involving an Air Canada Express jet, which caused widespread flight cancellations and compounded massive security checkpoint delays caused by a concurrent funding standoff in Congress. While the administration officially tasked the unmasked ICE agents with aiding understaffed TSA lines, monitoring exit/entrance doors, and handling crowd control, President Trump noted that agents could also make arrests, sparking widespread public anxiety and clashes with press photographers.
