Two men plead guilty to cocaine importation attempt

Two men pleaded guilty to conspiracy to import cocaine from the Bahamas to Jupiter, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office and the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Mark Pinder will be sentenced Oct. 29; Parson Exana will be sentenced Nov. 5.

In an undercover operation in May, Pinder transferred 297 kilograms of cocaine from his vessel to ICE officials. The next day, law enforcement officials delivered the cocaine to Pinder and Exana in Jupiter. Both were arrested on the spot.

Each faces a minimum sentence of 10 years to life in prison and a fine of $4 million.
