Is it time for an Illegal Immigration issue Blitzkrieg?
Posted by Hunters on Monday March 28, 2005 at 4:51 pm MST

I believe it’s past due, but the stage is being set for right now . Beginning next month the volunteers from the Minute Man Project will do what the federal and state governments refuse to do, and they’ll receive national attention for it. Also planed for April, talk radio hosts Rodger Hedgecock and our own Bruce Jacobs (KFYI) along with FAIR will lead a march on Washington to demand Congress get it’s act together. Their agenda, No licenses, no amnesty, no benefits, secure borders and resume interior sweeps for Illegal Aliens. (Think what you want of FAIR, but this event needs to be so big it can’t be ignored by Congress or the press.)

Most of us won’t be able to attend these events in person, but we can still show our support from right here in town and we NEED to. The open borders crowd will be making as much noise as they can, so if we’re not much louder than them our government will take it as some form of “mandate.

I want this thread to be a suggestion box of ideas we can all participate in and I have a few to start.

Signs on our vehicles, something like “American laws start at the Border or “Support your local Minute Man.

A picket of McCain’s Phoenix or Tempe office?

Calling all our elected officials local offices day and night, every chance we get. I can post all 10 of AZ’s congressional delegation if you’d like.

Pick a day and time to blast the Presidents office with calls?

Blast the Republic and Trib’s op-ed departments with letters?

Walk into the day labor centers we paid for and yell IMMIGRATION? (This is funny, a week ago I was trying to get a cup of coffee and my local 7-11 and there had to be three dozen Illegal looking Mexicans all milling around the beverage center. I simply asked one of them if they were Illegal Aliens and the place cleared out in 30 seconds. It probably helps that I look like a cop and was wearing my .45, but it was sure funny)

The point is we need to be LOUD, VERY LOUD, or the efforts underway now will never amount to anything other than the rants of a few extreme racists and be forgotten about in May.

So what can we do? Any suggestions welcome and please lets pass this along to other like minded people. It’s our fate

    McCain wins immigration billboard

Ran across this while on the phxnews site

    McCain wins immigration billboard
Amnesty champion inaugurates Billboard Democracy campaign
    By CRAIG NELSEN
    ProjectUSA director

Anti-borders polemicist Tamar Jacoby may have been right after all when she claimed that Arizona Senator John McCain is the most popular politician in America.
Sen. McCain stomped the competition in ProjectUSA's Billboard Democracy campaign, far outstripping his nearest rivals: Rep. Susan Davis D-CA (F-), Rep. Bob Filner D-CA (F), Rep. Earl Blumenauer D-OR (F-), and Sen. Ted Kennedy D-MA (D-).

We actually received more votes for McCain than were necessary for him to win.

Those "extra" votes will be applied to the person with the highest number of nominations currently. So, if you are worried about your votes being wasted on certain candidates, don't be. We will keep them recycling.

    VOTE HERE

Rep. Davis, who will move into first place from second place with the departure of Senator McCain from the slate, could only muster about one third the votes the pro-amnesty Arizona Senator was able to haul in.

    BILLBOARD DEMOCRACY
    NEW CANDIDATES
    MEMBER STATE PARTY ABI
    GRADE
REP. BECERRA, XAVIER D CA F-
REP. BACA, JOE D CA F
REP. SANCHEZ, LORETTA D CA F-
REP. CAPPS, LOIS D CA F-
REP. GREEN, AL D TX F-
REP. BERMAN, HOWARD D CA F
    REP. JACKSON-LEE, SHEILA D TX F
REP. SANCHEZ, LINDA D CA F
    FULL LIST OF ALL VOTE-GETTERS

We've already begun the process of putting up the McCain billboard, and, of course, we'll let you know when it goes up (and if you know someone who would like to keep up with the Billboard Democracy campaign. please encourage him or her to sign up for this ezine.)

At right is a table listing members of Congress who have been recently attracting votes and are now candidates. You'll notice they are all Democrats, and they are all from Texas or California

From what I can gather, Californians and Texans mean business when it comes to immigration; I half expect to see billboard-your-congressman car washes and truth-in-advertising bake sales popping up.

In any case, Democrats should read the writing on the wall. They need to take the side of the American people on immigration, for a change, and ignore the Nancy Pelosi / Rahm Emmanuel fringe and its small, but loud, contingent, of self-appointed "voices of the [fill in the identity group] community."
