Illegal immigrants from Mexico, for the most part, enter the United States in search of employment and a better life.

However, the Liberal politicians, in hopes of garnering a few liberal votes, pamper these with benefits to which they are not properly entitled. That's what makes our nation so attractive to the illegal immigrants in the first place.

According to the radical Left, the children of illegal immigrants are entitled to an education at our expense. Seldom does a day go by that we do not hear the hue and cry of school administrators that they are financially strapped, yet the compulsory education of illegal immigrant children goes on. American taxpayers ARE NOT OBLIGATED to subsidize the education of those who are not legal residents of our country or our community!

Should illegal immigrants be allowed to vote in any election, at any time, for any purpose? NO! They are not legal residents, therefore should not be allowed a part in our political process at any level, local, state or Federal. Penalties for those attempting to register to vote illegally should be sudden and severe.

Healthcare is another issue. Don't we have trouble enough taking care of our own, without catering to the needs and demands of those not even legal residents in our communities? Once again, Liberal politics places the financial burden on the shoulders of those abiding by the law to subsidize those who choose not to abide by the law.

Driver licenses are another issue. Aren't State driver licenses meant to be issued to residents of the state? Would it be too much to ask that the recipient of a state driver license be a LEGAL resident of that state?

Oh, yes, and a Liberal favorite, Social Security benefits. Paid for by the American taxpayer, supposedly for one's own retirement security, how many millions of our Social Security dollars go to illegal immigrants each year? Anyone who is not a legal resident of our nation, having never paid a dime into the Social Security system does NOT qualify for benefits of any kind, at any time. Period.

Some issues can only be fixed at the federal government level, which isn't happening at the moment. Other issues can be dealt with at the State and local levels, including restricting housing to legal residents only, harshly punishing employers that hire illegal immigrants, restricting the issuance of Driver Licenses and State ID cards to those demonstrating legal resident status with harsh and severe penalties for those caught obtaining or attempting to obtain them illegally.

Ladies and gentlemen, if we take away the cheese, we won't have as many mice.
