Countering threats that Guadalupe town leaders would get someone else to enforce laws there, Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio said today he is giving the town 180 days to either renew or end their contract with him.
If they decide to end it, the sheriff’s office will leave as the primary police in the tiny town that sits between Tempe and Phoenix.
If they renew, he said he will require the full authority to police the town any way he wants.

How about we build a fence around Guadalupe to keep all the insurgents in so they can bitch and moan about why U.S. law shouldn't be enforced on them. That way, we don't have to hear about their stupid whining.

Why can't our President have balls like this guy!
If Palestine puts down their guns, there will be peace.
If Israel puts down their guns there will be no more Israel.

Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio
Arpaio Sets Deadline For Guadalupe Enforcement
POSTED: 3:44 pm MST April 18, 2008
UPDATED: 4:34 pm MST April 18, 2008
PHOENIX -- Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio has sent a letter to Guadalupe town leaders telling them they have 180 days to either renew or end their contract with his office.
READ: MCSO Guadalupe Contract Termination Letter
Arpaio said if the town doesn't answer, he will pull his deputies from the communty.
"Recent actions and statements made by the Town of Guadalupe against the Sheriff's Office are unjust and ignore the professional law enforcement services provided by the Sheriff's Office for the past 30 years," the letter read.
Many town residents took to the streets to oppose Arpaio's recent crime saturation sweep that netted nine suspected illegals immigrants and 38 others on warrant arrests and drug violations.
In his letter addressed to Guadalupe Mayor Rebecca Jiminez, Arpaio wrote, "Statements made by you and the Phoenix mayor reflect a disturbing discrimination and selective enforcement agenda that certain laws passed by the Legislature and voted upon by the citizens of Maricopa County should not be enforced."
As a result, Arapio wrote, "The Sheriff's Office has decided to invoke the termination clause of its law enforcement agreement with the Town of Guadalupe."
A series of crime saturation sweeps sparked lawmakers, activists and politicians to call on the U.S. Justice Department to investigate the sheriff's office for racial profiling.

If Joe swept Guadalupe there would be no one left! Everybody knows that town is Little Mexico. If you don' believe me just drive through there once.
This is very true. At one time, it wasn't so bad. I mean, it was never a wealthy town and you wouldn't find the Ritz Carlton there. It was occupied by native americans and hispanic americans just trying to get by. Nothing fancy or too impressive, but geez.....you could at least drive through there without worrying about whether or not you'd make it out in one piece.
Not anymore. These days anyone familiar with the town knows to just stay out of there.
To give you some idea as to just how badly it's been overrun by illegals: Guadalupe is 1 mile square.....yep, that's it.......and at last count had close to 6,000 people crammed into that tiny patch of town. I hear their web site spouts off the OBL garbage about how their little town is never going to get any bigger or progress due to "man made borders and barriers".
It's just another area the illegals have taken over because they feel they are entitled to it by virtue of the fact that it was originally settled by Yaqui and every last one of them there now claims they are "indigenous peoples"
IMO if they want lawlessness, cut off funding and let them have it. The situation over there is barely contained as it is as they victimize one another. It wouldn't take long before Guadalupe and all of those "indigenous peoples" became just another extinct Mexican civilization.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

Arizona sheriff pulling town's protection
April 20, 2008
The Arizona town of Guadalupe is going from intense attention from the Maricopa County sheriff's office to no attention at all, officials say.
Sheriff Joe Arpaio had sent a dozen deputies into Guadalupe two weeks ago in a move he called crime suppression -- but that his detractors say was meant to draw media attention to his campaign against illegal immigrants. Arpaio has now announced the town of 2,500 has 180 days to find another law enforcement provider, The Arizona Republic reported Saturday.
I am disappointed that Sheriff Arpaio chose to issue this letter of cancellation to the media immediately after delivering the letter to town officials, Mayor Rebecca Jimenez said. This is yet another attempt by Sheriff Arpaio to garner more media attention for himself and his office.
Guadalupe pays about $1.2 million annually for police protection. The Maricopa sheriff's office has provided it for most of the last three decades, the Republic reported.
I'm sure they're not going to hire a guy like me to come in there and lock up illegals, Arpaio said. This isn't personal. (Jimenez) just made the comment that she doesn't want us. If they don't want us, why should we stay there?
