Dear Mayor, and City Council Members,

RE: Proposed illegal immigrant ordinances

There shouldn't even be a discussion on the the issues at hand.

Illegal immigrants have absolutely no right to be in our country, and it is against federal laws for anyone to employ an illegal within our United States.

It is also against our laws for illegals to drive around on our highways, unlicensed, and uninsured.

However, illegals, using falsified, forged, or stolen, indentities, do manage to illegally obtain jobs, all while over 8.5 million Americans are unemployed, with that number growing each, and every, day.

Illegals are also an enormous burden on American taxpayers. The cost per student for the Fremont Schools was $9,578.36 for the 2006-2007 school year. I am fairly certain that amount has increased this year. Many illegal immigrants do not pay any withholding taxes, and even if they did, they certainly don't earn enough to pay their fair share for educating their large number of children. That burden falls on the legal citizens. And that is just the beginnning. There's the cost of healthcare, welfare, food stamps, section-8 housing, all paid for by citizen taxpayers. The only people who benefit from illegals are greedy business owners, the chamber of commerce, and the Catholic Church. The rest of us pay through the nose for their illegal presence here in our country.

You may have been impressed by the large number of people who showed at the council meeting to support the illegals, but La Raza, LULAC, MALDEF, MECHa, and company, are very organized when it comes to matters such as this. You can bet your bottom dollar that spokespersons from these groups came into Fremont, and rallied the illegals in a show of force, even busing them in as necessary.

If you don't stand up, and stop them now, it is going to be much, much, more diffiicult to do it in the future, and you will only have yourselves to blame for not taking care of the problem when you had the opportunity.

There are somewhere beteeen 20, and 40, million, illegal immigrants in our country at this time, You may have heard that California has 17 billion dollar state budgete deficit. That deficit is entirely attributable to the 5 million, or more, illegal immigrants in California.

Stay strong and stand up on this issue.
