A Fresno State student committee will meet Monday night to discuss its review of student body President Pedro Ramirez.
The Personnel Committee of the Associated Students Inc. Senate has been investigating whether Ramirez violated the university's code of conduct by driving without a license.
Ramirez, who has admitted that he is an illegal immigrant, was injured Jan. 9 while giving a ride to a friend who had been drinking, Fresno police reports said.
Ramirez was driving a pickup that hit a tree.
Officers said there were signs Ramirez was speeding.
A Fresno State student committee has been investigating whether student body president Pedro Ramirez violated the university’s code of conduct by driving without a license.
The ASI Senate approved the review Feb. 23.
Monday's meeting will be at 8 p.m. in Room 162 in McLane Hall.
The Personnel Committee is scheduled to make its recommendations at the Senate's next meeting at 4 p.m. Wednesday. The meeting will be in rooms 312 and 314 of the University Student Union.
On Thursday, the Personnel Committee, which is also reviewing the conduct of ASI Executive Vice President Selena Farnesi and Vice President of Finance Cesar Sanchez, held a public meeting seeking comment on the reviews.
The committee received a letter of complaint alleging that Farnesi breached open-meeting laws. Sanchez is being reviewed for possible violations of the university's code of conduct.
Four students attended Thursday's meeting. Graduate student Hector Cerda said complaints against Ramirez should be rejected unless the people accusing him of the conduct violation publicly step forward.

A more important question is: Where's the diversity in this student senate? Is every officer hispanic? How come there are no blacks. asians or whites on this senate? Hmmmm?Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)
