GAO REPORT REAFFIRMS MINUTEMEN MISSION
U.S. GOVERNMENT FAILURES PROVE NEED FOR CITIZEN-LED BORDER FENCE AND DEPLOYMENT OF NATIONAL GUARD TO U.S. BORDERS

PHOENIX, AZ —The Minuteman Civil Defense Corps urge all citizens to contact their elected officials and urge them to expedite the construction of physical barrier fencing, and to increase, re-commit and re-deploy National Guard troops on our nation’s southwestern border in light of yesterday’s dismal GAO findings. Since 2005, Minutemen volunteers have telling Washington lawmakers that U.S. Border Patrol agents are understaffed and undermined by official policy, and that their efforts alone will not stop the relentless onslaught of illegal aliens, drug and sex trafficking that occurs on the U.S.-Mexican border.
