Populist - it's pretty much free-form and loose in the last few minutes.

Jerry is using his worn-out analogies and trying to paint Joey into the usual corner of xenophone/racist/etc. Mentioned the Italian neighborhoods in Philly and other large East Coast cities. Talked about the tendency for many in those communities to speak Italian vs. English, etc. etc.

Now, going to panelists, other listeners, etc - away from Joey and Jerry for the moment.

geraldo is trying to compare the 1940s immigrants and the immigrants of today.

I think some of the cultural trends that paved the way for reliance on illegal immigrants need to be reversed: fast food joints, excessive business travel, McMansions and commercial properties with huge landscaping requirements (just to name a few)....none of these are really important to the US economy. I know that you say Americans will do these jobs---I'm not arguing with that. But we may have more important things to do.

Talking about distinction / difference between LEGAL and ILLEGAL immigrants.

Said that unlawful entry IS a crime (well, sort of).

Did not at all talk about the fact that working here/document fraud are FELONIES - and most IAs here WORK! (GRRRRR!)

At most he paid the topic token lip service. He's trying to walk all over everybody else... as usual..
