American Pulse(TM) Survey: Providing Benefits to Undocumented Immigrants; Overwhelming Majority Don't Think It's Good for America

COLUMBUS, OH -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 12/05/07 -- As the debate heats up over whether or not the U.S. Government should provide benefits to undocumented immigrants, most Americans agree that it is not good for the country, according to the American Pulse(TM) Survey of 4,069 respondents. The majority of respondents said "No" when asked if they think undocumented immigrants should be given the following: Driver's License (81.7%), Business License (89.3%), Housing Assistance (82.8%), Educational Benefits (76.7%) and Job Training (73.7%).

Honesty and integrity top the list of qualities Americans would like to see in candidates running for federal office as 81.4% say honesty, 77.6% say a willingness to tell the truth, even if it harms their position and 77.1% say a willingness to stand for what they believe in, even if it's not in line with the position of his/her party.

Other key findings include:


-- Over half (56.9%) are very/somewhat concerned that terrorism will
affect the safety of their food.
-- 61.1% drink both bottled water and tap water... 22.7% say they don't
drink bottled water because they think it's from the tap.
-- Almost half (48.8%) are confident that hospital workers do everything
they can to keep them safe if they were to go to the hospital and 34.2%
worry a hospital stay would result in them getting sicker.
-- 59.4% say they regularly or occasionally play video games.
-- A little over one-third (36.3%) of video gamers are watching TV less,
19.4% are going to movies less and 15.7% are sleeping less.

It is a common rule of thumb in business; e.g., "80% of your sales comes from 20% of your clients."

Or in the case of illegal aliens, 20% of the population create 80% of the problems.

Now theres a poll that is closer to the truth, and shows just why we defeated at least 2 major amnesty bill and several piece meal amnesty crap amendments.

Well if the politicians won't listen to 80% of the population because money is power. Maybe 80% of the population should take back their power by NOT paying taxes. Let's see - no more earmarks, no money to La Raza, foreign aid (including millions proposed to Mexico), no money for war, no money period.

Actually they've proven that aquafina is nothing but filtered tap water.

4,069 respondents.

As far as I'm concerned these numbers regarding the attitude about illegals in the U.S. is probably one of the closest ones there is!

I'm still working on "getting the word out".

Citizenship is a big responsibility. It means that you root for the country you are a citizen of. But words are cheap. If you have love for your country you care for it, realize that it could fall and think about what you can do to help it.

Someone who comes over here illegally and wants benefits may be a great person. But they apparently do not give a tiddly wink what is good for our nation. They should not be considered for citizenship.

Our nation cannot expect people to take this caring attitude unless it respects itself. If we let people walk all over us it is our fault that they don't respect us in the morning.

Our education system and hospitals are going under due to too many taking and not enough giving. If we don't want to fall into that category we had better find the pride to protect ourselves.

It sounds like our populace has enough self-respect to say no to date rape. How about our politicians? Do they care about our nation? If we continue to pay people to come here, we will continue to be ravished.
