Since she is an immigration lawyer, I expect that she wants all of those illegals to pay her for her services. Typical lawyer, its all about the money.

LAWYER: I propose a plan that will guarantee me an endless number of clients. Illegal immigrants will be lining up by the thousands willing to pay me top dollar. Thank me for this plan America!

Nothing that comes from an immigration attorney is credible on this issue.
It's a simple-minded solution that provides amnesty via a temporary reprieve from deportation to illegal aliens already present and gives them a new kind of temporary visa. No different than the Z visa. If the illegal aliens are not required to voluntarily depart to their home countries in a specified period of time and then apply for the visas we already have (79 differents types), then it's amnesty.

The work permit will allow these individuals to legally work here so long as they do not have a criminal record and they can prove that they have a bona fide job offer

Seems like since every illegal alien that crossed our border in contravention of our laws has a criminal record to me. I just wonder where this lawyer got her degree. Maybe she should immigrate to Mexico and assist the citizens there to come here legally.

It is very difficult to enter the United States, and many die along the way. Once they enter, they do not leave. Their families usually follow, risking their lives as well, and if they make it, they become extreme burdens to our infrastructure.
The problem is, people like this seem to have no boundaries as to whose responsibilities are whose.

It is not MY responsibility, as an American, that it is difficult for these people to enter this country, or that it is a risk to their lives. It is not my responsibility to ensure for their safety at crossing.

These people are the responsibility of MEXICO!!!!!! Take that crap right back to Calderon, or whoever is in charge down there, and load the guilt on HIM -- not me.
