Has anyone seen this poll? !!

(I posted here to get more discussion... and you can't vote in it)

    http://www.americanprogress.org/issues/ ... ation.html

"59 percent think illegal immigrants should be allowed to remain in the U.S. and possibly become citizens if they meet “certain requirements,” while 15 percent favor allowing illegal immigrants to remain in the U.S. for a limited time, and 24 percent believe all illegal immigrants should be deported."
Just because you're used to something doesn't make it right.

If the poll is accurate, it scares me to death.

I have suspected for a long time that American citizens in various parts of the country that are not heavily impacted by illegal immigrants really have no idea of the adverse effects these aliens bring with them.

I suspect the folks who voted in this poll most certainly came from areas with little or no illegal immigration. Americans in border states would vote strongly in favor of departation. I know that I, personally, don't want someone from Indiana or Rhode Island, or MASSACHUSETTS deciding my fate here in California when it comes to illegal immigration.

The polls are misleading the assumption is that an illegal alien living here peacefully can not enter legally. Most of them could have entered legally and many of them did but then chose not to continue adhering to our immigration law. Most citizens are against trying to arrest all twelve to twenty mllion people.

The majority of us within the immigration enforcement lobby is not suggesting that. We believe that if they can not get jobs or public assistance they will start to leave of their own will. If they would start using their own remittances wisely they could have something back home worth going back to. The condition that the largest number of citizens do object to is the automatic ten year exclusion policy. However in some countries the amount of time legal immigrants wait to get here is more than that.
I support enforcement and see its lack as bad for the 3rd World as well. Remittances are now mostly spent on consumption not production assets. Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

Another bogus probably taken by the Bush Administration. Only the numbers are made to look real. Otherwise no one would believe it.

PJR, I'm from Ohio and I called our congresswoman today to tell her I was against ANY illegal alien amnesty and wanted them out of our country. We haven't been as hard-hit here as you have out there, but we're apparently still aware of what's going on all over the USA. The young woman I talked to said she had about 1,000 calls and letters since she took the job in January...every single one of them against amnesty! I asked how many she had received for amnesty...she said none. So, if that's any indication, the poll is really off base.

This Zogby poll is probably far more accurate.

    Courtesy of had_enuf:

According to New Judicial Watch - Zogby Poll: 66% of Likely Voters - Including Majority of Hispanics - Support Using More Law Enforcement to Stop Illegal Immigration

71.9% of Hispanics Also Opposed to Taxpayer-Funded Day Laborer Sites

WASHINGTON, April 11 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Judicial Watch, the
public interest group that investigates and prosecutes government
corruption, today released the results of a nationwide poll conducted in
partnership with Zogby International concerning the American people's
attitudes towards illegal immigration. Among the highlights of the poll
    conducted March 22 - 26, 2007:
-- Overall, 66% of likely voters believe that more emphasis should be
placed on law enforcement when addressing the issue of illegal
immigration, including 51.6% of Hispanics and 56.8% of self-described
political "liberals." Only 5% said the emphasis on law enforcement
should be diminished, including 3% of Hispanics.
-- 79% believe public officials should not use taxpayer funds to operate
day laborer sites that help illegal aliens, including 71.9% of
Hispanics and 70% of self-described political "liberals."
-- 72% of likely voters believe local law enforcement officers should help
enforce federal immigration laws, including 40% of Hispanics and 55% of
    self-described political "liberals."
"The American people speak with one voice on the topic of illegal
immigration. Virtually every voter demographic -- even those supposedly
most sympathetic to illegal aliens -- want our illegal immigration laws to
be strictly enforced," said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton.
"Overwhelmingly, the American people want local officials to help address
illegal immigration through law enforcement, not taxpayer subsidies and
    'sanctuary' policies."
This telephone survey, conducted by Zogby International, included a
target sample of 1,039 interviews. The margin of error is +/- 3.1
    percentage points.
Judicial Watch has taken a leading role in pushing for the strong
enforcement of our nation's immigration laws. For example, Judicial Watch
has cutting-edge litigation against taxpayer-funded day laborer sites that
illegally assist illegal aliens with finding employment. Judicial Watch is
also litigating against the Los Angeles Police Department (and ACLU
lawyers) to end "sanctuary policies" that prohibit police officers from
enforcing federal immigration laws and cooperating with federal immigration
    authorities.
More results of the Judicial Watch -- Zogby poll, along with
information about Judicial Watch's anti-illegal immigration programs, are
    available a http://www.judicialwatch.org.

This poll was conducted by leftwing Gallup and posted by a notoriously progressive (aka socialist) group founded by John Podesta. This group shamelessly advocates open borders, multiculturalism, globalism and endorses the slogan, "unity without uniformity." It cannot be trusted because it's radically biased toward the appeasement of illegal aliens generally and Mexicans in particular. Because CAP did not publish the entire poll nor provide a link, I must assume they cherry-picked the data which no doubt already was biased to the progressive view. Click here to see who they are. The following image is a pretty good snapshot. I found it telling they emphasize they're NOT selfish, arrogant nor xenophobic. Jean, I hope this post violates no rules.
