To a world without borders or barriers. To the belief that there is more that unites us than divides us. To find common ground to raise a bottle with the person next to you. Because a stranger is just a friend that you haven’t had a cold Heineken with yet.

It’s actually a whole campaign they’re running, with ads and everything.

Here’s a sample of one, which is even more preachy than the back of the bottle. And of course, coming together means foregoing their caricature of what conservatives believe.

Now Heineken starts out with a deficit of not being a particularly good beer already. Adding a shot of preachy politics doesn’t help their cause.

But here’s a suggestion to the progressive preachers over their at Heineken. Feel free to ignore borders and head over to Syria and offer ISIS a Heineken. After all, that’s all that’s separating you and him from being a friend, right?

It doesn’t matter how much love or Heineken or whatever it is you are spreading, if the person with the gun, bomb or machete believes it is his divine obligation to kill you.

So as you think about lifting a cold one this weekend, feel free to choose another beer, one that doesn’t preach…
