Hidden Camera Catches Raleigh Housekeeper Stealing Money

RALEIGH, N.C. -- A housekeeper has been arrested and charged after she was caught on hidden camera stealing money from a home she was cleaning.

According to arrest warrants filed Monday, the incident took place on February 2. The victim, Patricia Key, reported to authorities that she suspected her cleaning crew had been stealing from her.

The victim placed marked bills in a drawer in her son's room, along with a hidden camera, the warrant states, in hopes of finding out which housekeeper was the one stealing. After the housekeepers cleaned the room, Key went in and checked to see of the money was still there. The victim noticed three $20 bills were missing and called police.

After consenting to emptying their pockets, Gudelia Quiroz, pulled out three $20 bills from her pocket.

Officers checked the serial numbers against photos the victim took of the bills prior to placing them in the drawer and the numbers matched. The victim also said she made a small yellow mark on the corner of all the bills placed in the drawer. The ones found inside Quiroz's pocket matched those that were left behind.

Police conducted a search of the suspect's home a few days after the initial incident after the victim reported that she spoke to the suspect's husband. The husband told the victim that several items of jewelry and electronics have shown up at his house that he doesn't know how they got there.

A search warrant was issued for Quiroz's apartment. During the search officers found a locked jewelry box that contained several rings, earrings, and other jewelry. It was determined that several of the items belonged to other victims whose houses were cleaned by Quiroz.

Quiroz has been arrested and charged with larceny and is currently in the Wake County Jail with an immigration hold.

Question..........why were these people hired in the first place.........oh yea..............they work so much cheaper then American citizen.!!! You get what you pay for!!!
