HISPANICS IN HOUSE BLAST DEM LEADER ON IMMIGRATION

    April 23, 2008, 11:34PM
Hispanics in House blast Dem leaders on immigration

WASHINGTON — The Congressional Hispanic Caucus denounced House Democratic leaders Wednesday as "spineless" and little better than Republicans for failing to take on comprehensive immigration reform.

Leaders of the all-Democratic caucus, which numbers two dozen, criticized their party leadership at a news conference for instead scheduling hearings on enforcement legislation and specific visa issues.

They also complained that they are being blamed for opposing bills strongly supported by other Democrats that would add more visas for certain classes of immigrants, such as high-tech or seasonal workers. Instead, the Hispanic Caucus insists on a comprehensive approach that would provide a path for citizenship for some 12 million illegal immigrants now living in the U.S.

Such legislation collapsed in the Senate last year and Democratic House leaders have shown little appetite for trying to revive the highly contentious issue in an election year.

Rep. Raul Grijalva of Arizona called the Democratic caucus "spineless."

"Today my party wants to do what is easy, not exactly what is right," said Rep. Luis Gutierrez of Illinois.

The lawmakers were particularly incensed because hearings have been scheduled on a bill by moderate first-term Rep. Heath Shuler, D-N.C., that focuses on enforcement and would add border patrol agents.

If a Democratic majority can allow such a hearing, "then we are no better than the Republican majority we replaced," Gutierrez said.

One commits the robbery while the other drives the get-away car. Difference side of the same coin.

Gutierrez doesn't seem to get there's laws and oaths that prohibit a total takeover by any specific group for any specific group. Checks and balances....to keep what he wants from happening.

I don't know if anyone else has noticed this or not, but why is it that we only seem to hear whining and complaining mostly from Hispanics about Comprehensive Immigration Reform? My wife is from an Asian country but yet she doesn't cry for entitlements or special treatment for Asians. It took over a year for her to get her visa, AFTER we were formally married. So if this is what we have to look forward to...a bunch of whiners and complainers from south of the border...forget it! Don't want it or need it.

Not that they will, but it's time these open border extremists understand that Americans of all backgrounds reject amnesty and are not fooled by the "comprehensive" euphemism. Especially in these hard economic times, American taxpayers simply cannot afford to continue to subsidize illegal aliens to the tune of multi-billions of dollars. Whine to Mexico, not us!

Haven't seen the Hispacic caucus or ANY HISPANIC group stand up for ANY other illegal immigrants who have been deported either. They could care less about "comprehensive" reform for ALL......just for them!!!!!!!!!! Didn't take the UN of various illegal immigrants to discover this move didn't include them....this was a hispanic issue only and they were the tolkens just so the hispanics didn't look racist. Unfortunatly....their actions speak volumes and there real intent perfectly clear. Not only to us but to the other illegal immigrants who know they aren't for them either.

That's right. A number of vietnamese illegals were recently deported in one go and you didn't hear Rep Baca say a thing. This is an OUTRAGE perpetrated by some in the latino leadership community, who have said it themselves that they sought to Hispanize this country. This has been the big prize, the big fantasy that started about 20 years ago to literally be at every level and strata at teh federal, state and local level to push the Raza agenda. Enough , enough and enough. They need to focus on real needs of the community such as kids dropping out of school and help assimilate the incredible number of those who still don't speak a lick of English.

But this is good news, at least they scheduled a hearing!!

I was listening to something the other day in which they were asking a Mexican something about "bi-lingual education" and why when so may other languages were spoken here...and if they were concerned about MINORITIES and fair education and jobs for "immigrants" etc.....then why just the push for Spanish.....his answer....because we are the majority. Basicly they are the majority, minority....so they aren't fighting for rights for anyone but them.....Once they become the majority....trust me....compassion and understanding and sob stories won't be a part of their venue.

They don't fight for fair wages...they fight for fair wages for hispanics. They don't fight against poverty....they fight against poverty of Latinos. They don't fight for Bi-lingual education for all....just Spanish speakers. They don't fight for jobs.....they fight for jobs for Latinos. They don't fight for abuse against women....they fight for abuse of Latino women. They don't have a food bank for the poor.....they have the Spanish food bank. They don't have an immigrant foundation for new business owners.....it's the Hispanic business group. The don't have a business group for female bosses....it's the Hispanic business womens league. They demand equal oppertunity for hispanics....yet they never hire anyone but hispanics to work for them.

Heck they don't even fight for a soccer field for all.....it's an hispanic soccer field. Not a rodeo......a Mexican rodeo. OK for the Spanish class to say our pledge in Spanish...but seen or heard of the German class doing that? The French class? Had a recent Vietnamese culture day at your childs school? I learned the Mexican hat dance in school....has a Mexican learned the Irish jig or the oriental fan dance?

I love ethnic festivals.....the only one I don't need to go to because it's so much a part of our culture is the Mexican one. The only Ethnic festival that is attended by only their own people is the Latino one. The most unwelcoming Ethnic festival is a Latino one.

I go to an Italian festival...they speak English and Italian...same with Greek, Polish, Chinese, African......yet go to a Latino one and it's Spanish only.

The best ethnic festivles I ever went to was in Baltimore....every single group was so inviting and welcoming.....but the latinos. And this was ions ago....haven't seen anything new to change my mind.

Look at the festivles just in your own area.....name any ethnic group and they have any and every race there....name a Latino one and it's only Latinos there.

Can't think of a Polish festivle where a polish person was drug out of their car and beaten because they had and American flag sticker on their car.....Mexicans have.

That's because they subscribe to Marxist ideologies. Everything for us. Nothing for you. If Fidel Castro lived in the US, Kennedy and McCain would help him get elected and call anyone a racist who didn't like Cuban Communism.

    These are sick, sick men.

I don't trust McCain. If he gets elected the borders will open wide while a few anemic phone calls are placed to send more border agents. All for show.

I don't want to discuss what would happen next...
