Hispanics Keep Political Allegiances Despite Arizona Law, Poll Finds

WASHINGTON – Hispanic voters have not changed their party preferences for the U.S. legislative elections in November, even after the controversial law against undocumented immigrants was passed in the state of Arizona, according to a new survey.

The public opinion poll, taken by the Gallup firm among hundreds of Hispanics between March 1 and June 8, shows that the same proportion of Hispanics expressed a preference for Democratic and Republican candidates both before and after the law was passed.

Nor have the political affiliations of blacks and whites been altered by the Arizona law that allows police to detain and question people on grounds of a “reasonable suspicionâ€

The Blacks need to wake up and realize that the Democrats are not on their side. I am half Black and vote Libertarian or Republican
I support enforcement and see its lack as bad for the 3rd World as well. Remittances are now mostly spent on consumption not production assets. Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

You are right. Black people are being used in racial politics and are really still slaves. They will never be free until they discard the "victim" mantra that the left paints them under.

This would appear to debunk the theory that either party "must" support comprehenisve immigration reform or "lose the Hispanic vote". This theory, put forth primarily by leaders of ethno-centric special interest groups and the "talking heads" on television, is demeaning to U.S. citizen Hispanic voters because it implies that they have no independence of thought! In fact, polls also have shown that CIR ranks very far down on the priorities of U.S. Hispanics, who primarily are concerned about the same things as other Americans, such as jobs, education, etc.
