History may repeat itself with immigration issue

I have read opinion after opinion on legal and illegal immigration. Many make reference to the fact that all of our ancestry can be traced back to when our forefathers were immigrants.

History teaches us that after some initial peaceful coexistence, the native population aggressively fought to stop the immigration and reclaim their land. I personally do not think it turned out too well for them. Maybe they waited too late.

We have all heard that history ignored will repeat itself. Census projections clearly illustrate it may soon be too late for us.

I do not have all the answers, but if we stand idle while our country is consumed by the influx of non-citizens, we will have plenty of time to discuss it on the reservation.
