HOLD THEIR FEET TO THE FIRE XII DATES FIRM!!…Sandy Carter has been able to secure a good number of hotel rooms in D.C for April 21st thru April 25th and so we’re set to begin recruiting and planning and organizing Roger’s (and now Talk Show America’s) eleventh citizen lobby trip.

We’ll depart San Diego on Saturday the 21st. On Sunday we’ll do our lobby orientation, hand out campaign tee shirts, tote bags, campaign buttons and a personalized congressional directory and assign our lobby teams a cadre of lawmakers to visit face to face. On Monday we hit the marble on Capitol Hill and begin broadcasting from a talk radio row that we’ll have set up to serve some (we hope) two dozen radio hosts (and their listeners) from around the USA. We continue our lobby efforts on Tuesday and Wednesday, wrap up with a “victory,” banquet on Wednesday evening and fly home on Thursday the 26th. (Sandy will have an add on travel package for folks who want to fly up to NYC for that weekend in Spring).

In 2005 we did our first HTFTTF trip with other talk show hosts. Some 400 listeners joined 18 talk show hosts from Texas, Arizona, California, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Oregon and elsewhere. We lobbied for passage of the Real I.D. Act, which passed during our trip. This time our focus will also be on immigration, specifically NO AMNESTY.

But the issue is larger this year. We also face the plight of our two imprisoned Border Patrol Agents, continuing crisis along our southern border, democrats and republicans who are soft on secure borders and the infestation of communities well away from the border.

We’ll also lobby to encourage small town America to join the ranks of Hazelton, Pa, Flower Mound, Texas and Escondido, California.

Our hope is that with a physical presence of hundreds lobbying inside the capitol building and lawmakers office buildings, combined with daily broadcasts to radio communities across America we can make an impact to secure our nation and turn the tide to save our culture as well.

We’ll partner with FAIR (The American Federation for Immigration Reform) and several other groups (911 Families for a Secure America - Grassfire.net etc) to rally their membership to be part of our national NO AMNESTY effort.

It’s likely that we’ll have a major rally in the park across the street from the White House (or perhaps closer to the Capitol Building).

And we’ll have some fun. Can’t visit the capital of this wonderful nation and miss the history and beauty. There will be tours (Congressmen Brian Bilbray and Duncan Hunter traditionally offer an after session tour, behind the scenes, of the Capitol…nooks and crannies that folks never see).

WE NEED YOUR HELP….need you to contact the big gun talk show host in your town and urge them to join us. Need you to consider coming with us yourself. Need you to work with groups that you may belong to, to enlist folks to come with us to D.C. to make a difference.

It’s real important to network and send emails and do phone tree work on behalf of immigration reform. It’s important to rally for our Border Patrol Agents and important to work with Minuteman organizations….but there is no impact like being in a lawmakers office, face to face, making the case for a secure America.

We don’t have any money to offer lawmakers. We have something more important. The vote that employs lawmakers. It’s time to check in on our employees and demand a secure America.

THE COST…yes there is a cost. If you can get to D.C. on your own, fine. But we’ll provide a budget package that will include airfare, hotel, baggage transfer, t-shirts (etc, see above), lobby orientation and the wrap up banquet for a reasonable price.

Sandy Carter will have the travel package together in the next couple of days. We’ll post it on Roger’s website and link to it from the Gazette. Sandy will also produce a cost for folks who don’t want to do the entire package, but might want the t-shirt, campaign button etc or want to attend the banquet. She’s also produce economical travel packages for talk show hosts and their listeners around the country if they want that assistance.
None of us has much money. We’re competing with well heeled professional lobbyists and union organizations that spare no expense to confront lawmakers with THEIR demands. But we must compete. America is at stake!!

And there will be a cost for the talk show hosts who come with us. We’ll provide a turn key broadcast radio row that will allow a host to show up, plug in headsets and broadcast. There will be a cost for the broadcast room at the hotel, the equipment, set up and an onsite technician for the duration. We’ll keep this cost as low as possible as well.

We will try to do some scholarships. We want to bring young people along with us to provide a history lesson for those who will carry this banner to the next generation.

DO THIS TODAY - Contact Sandy Carter and lock up your package and get details.

NO AMNESTY!! FREE OUR BORDER PATROL AGENTS!! SECURE THE BORDER!! SAVE AMERICA!!

As mentioned above, one of our goals in D.C. will be to encourage and embolden towns across America to stand up and say No More!! We’ll have guests on our radio shows who will tell small town lawmakers how to rid their communities of canyon dwellers, slum apartments, day laborers and emergency room freeloaders. Among those we hope will join us in D.C. some of the folks from Escondido, Ca who have drawn a line down the center of main street and taken a bold stand against illegals. A case in point from this morning’s newspaper in San Diego:

ESCONDIDO WANTS TO INVITE BORDER PATROL INTO TOWN

The NO MORE AMNESTY campaign is sponsored by the FAIR Congressional Task Force, Inc. (FCTF). The FCTF is a non-profit, public interest organization.

The Task Force's purpose is to serve the public social and economic welfare by developing and promoting immigration policies which are consistent with the economic, social and demographic interest of the United States; to restrict illegal immigration to the United States; and to limit legal admissions to reasonable levels.

We have created the NO MORE AMNESTY site in the conviction that a large majority of our fellow Americans believe that U.S. immigration policy should serve the interests of the American people and should never reward people for breaking our laws. Our objective is to assist the public in expressing to the nation's elected leaders our conviction that granting amnesty to millions of people who have willfully violated our immigration laws is harmful to the interests of U.S. citizens and lawful immigrants, and undermines the principles for which this nation stands.

I clicked on the link and there's an email you can copy and paste to everyone on your email contact list with links to the site and things we can do to help out. I think it would be so great to see Americans do something besides gripe to each other. There's not much time left, I don't think.

I sent it to 10 friends...if 10 of us send it to 10 friends and so on....just a thought.
