Hondura Prez to US on Immigrant Fix

Tegucigalpa, Jul 9 (Prensa Latina) Honduran President Manuel Zelaya will travel to US with an agenda in favor of his deported fellow citizens and also will tackle issues of bilateral interest dealing with security and investments.

The presidential House reported the Honduran dignitary will meet Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice on Monday and later will be received by John Negroponte, Washington ex ambassador in the Central American nation.

The leader has also foreseen a meeting with Stephen Hadley, President George W. Bush's National Security Advisor and several US congressmen to whom he will give his point of view on legalizing his country's migrants.

Zelaya will go with his foreign minister Milton Jimenez and his private secretary Jose Raul Valladares and ask for a deportations moratorium or more selectivity in the process, affirm Honduras Foreign Relations Minister last week.

The US has expelled over 15 thousand Honduran citizens so far this year and if the tendency remains the figure will reach 40 thousand by the end of 2007, reported the Center of the Returnee Migrant Attention.

Obviously, they're pulling a "Mexico". Meddling in our laws and policies. Advocating for the U.S. to accept their teeming masses of poor, largely uneducated and illiterate illegals because they have no intention of producing reforms in their country to take care of their own people. And, the illegals monetary remittances back to Honduras would be disrupted by all those deportations.

Why is it that the president of Mexico and now the president of Honduras can't fix their own problems, can't keep their own people happy or healthy or get them educated, but have all this time on their hands to help the U.S. fix what they see as broken in this country?
If my neighbor can't keep his/her consistently truant kids in school, or keep their unhappy kids from running away from home, am I going to take his/her advice on how to raise my kids?
Why is Bush even bothering to listen to these 3rd world presidents?
We are at war with Iraq, and our first priority is supposed to be keeping illegals happy?
They are pestering our president at a time when we are at war about health care for illegals, and paying illegals a fair wage, making them legal citizens of the U.S, (while retaining citizenship of their own countries), they complain that part of the wall was build on Mexican soil, and insist we spend millions to tear that part down, but allow the U.S to build a "sidewalk" for children living in MEXICO to safely cross into the U.S. for "their" free education without twisting an ankle on their illegal 2x daily treks across the border and don't complain about that being built on Mexican soil... Who exactly is running this country?
Have they ever heard the saying "People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones" or does that not translate well?

Gee, could it be that all of these countries are saying, US take care of us or else we will join Chavez, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Castro! Yep, help one of them and they're all gonna want help.

I say let them and lets close our borders and get ready to fight them all, if thats what they want.
