The only issue regarding the catholic church which I view as relevant in this forum is the church's stance on illegal immigration, and those issues related to it.

What party the Pope belonged to during the 1930's is, imo, completely irrelevant to the illegal immigration issue as is pedophilia or any other such topics. If your goal is to make some sort of characterization of the pope, then it is pointless, since my opinions would be no different about illegal immigration were the pope Satan incarnate, or the Messiah himself. There is NOTHING to be gained here by harping on such issues. I am sure if we wanted to turn it into a contest we could find religious leaders of most faiths that nobody has any reason to be proud of. But who really CARES? On this forum.. NOBODY.

There are plenty of other forums which cover a WIDE range of topics who will be happy to entertain such discussions. I do it all the time... Illegal Immigration is not hte ONLY issue I am concerned with in this world, though it is my top one. Sixx, you would probably be suprised at just how sympathetic I am to your position on Roman Catholicism... but THIS is not the place for it. Please stick to this forums purpose.
