We stopped donating to all charities after watching the illegal alien march in LA in 2007. We also stopped all donations to our church and any Catholic charities. We now "adopt" American families and give directly to them.

Houston charity eases gift sign-up
Friday, December 04, 2009
HOUSTON
Families signing up their children for the Salvation Army's Angel Tree program in the Houston area will no longer have to give a Social Security number.
Some had seen the practice as a way to check immigration status, but the charity said it was a way to cut down on fraud.
The new policy goes into effect next year, because the charity finished registering children for the Angel Trees on Oct. 31, a spokesman said. About 30,000 children signed up for gifts, a significant increase from the previous year.

Odessa, Texas - The Houston Salvation Army is no longer asking for social security numbers for children to receive Christmas gifts.
Here locally in Odessa, the Salvation Army says they are aware of the change in Houston, but will continue to require families show their social security numbers.
They say they will look for alternatives in the coming months to verify that applicants are citizens of Ector County.
