How it Will Be Done (La Rasa)

(THIS IS AN ARTICLE ON THE OVERTAKING OF GOVERNMENTS IN THE NEXT 20 YEARS)

    EDITORIAL: An Inevitable Rise

The United States Hispanic Leadership Institute, a national nonpartisan nonprofit organization, is preparing for its 24th annual conference on March 8 - 12 at the Sheraton Chicago Hotel & Towers. This conference is the greatest demonstration of national Latin unity in the whole country, which in itself is most important.

Latin leaders, past, present and future, rarely come together to demonstrate their clarity of vision their strength in solidarity, and unity of purpose. Our community is growing at an average rate of over one million persons per year, and it is important that the United States to see us coming together. By demonstrations of this kind that Latins can put aside preconceived notions that we can't unite. Nobody doubts that there is strength in numbers, but numbers do not automatically translate into unity.

USHLI also believes in creating more and better Latin leaders for the challenges which lie ahead. For that reason we focus the bulk of our resources on organizing and training young leaders. Over two-thirds of our conference participants are 18 - 34 years of age and female, and approximately 75% are currently attending or have already completed college. This is the next generation of Latin leaders, and it is up to us to help train, educate and prepare them

Dr. Juan Andrade Jr., President of USHLI, believes that for the next 20 years the number of Latin lawmakers will increase from 250 to almost a thousand, and the number of elected Latin officials will rise from 5,000 to 50,000. In the next 35 years the number of Latins in Congress will grow from 24 to approximately one hundred. And in the not-to-distant future we will elect the first Latin President or Vice-President of the United States. Instead of wondering “if” this is going to happen, we ought to be preparing for “when”. Andrade firmly believes that demography is destiny, and all we have to do is look at how Latin demographics are changing the complexion of America to see the inevitability of our rise to power.

It is more than certain that the day is approaching when most mayors of the largest cities in America will be Latins. Governors and Senators of the major states will be Latins, and the Latin vote will be the largest voting block in presidential elections - larger than whites, African Americans, labor and women.

In Andrade's analysis, Latins will surpass whites as voting block because their voting numbers will decrease with every coming election and will be invariably divided between liberals and conservatives. The size of the labor vote will also continue to shrink and be divided between a growing number of young, immigrant and progressive unionists and their conservative elders. The size of the women's vote will not decrease but will grow increasingly divided over pro-life and pro-choice differences and other moral and cultural issues. The African American vote will remain solid but shrink in size. Only the Latins have the conditions to grow both in size and in solidarity. © La Raza

. . . to hate whites, blacks, or any non-hispanic group, to hate the USA and the Western values it stands for and to ensure that the lands ceded to the USA by the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo in 1848 are returned to the country we really have allegiance to - mexico.

By then, this country will look just LIKE Mexico! All will be lost!

Yeah, and every American can count on having a few Latinos in their face on a daily basis.

You would think groups such as these, would be watched by our FBI or something...after all they watch the white nazi style groups, the Ruby Ridge types, the "Waco" types and now this displaced Mormon building a new compound in Tx.
Do not vote for Party this year, vote for America and American workers!

It's not about all hispanics or all Latinos. It's not a racial or ethnic origin thing at all. It's about the inidividuals among those groups who promote illegal immigration, open borders and non-assmilation into our culture. If they are decent, law abiding, United States citizens, I don't care what their ethnicity is. Wanting people to come to the USA legally and assimilate into our culture and become Americans with allegiance only to the USA IS NOT RACIST and is not about ethnicity at all!!

Agreed, Patbrunz. This is not about being "new" to America or being Hispanic or Chinese or ANYTHING. We probably all have friends and people who we respect, admire and like very much who are not native born Americans.

It's about respecting the USA, our laws, our culture and our language.....It's about coming here to "carry on" what we've fought for and achieved.

When people come here with an "attitude" that they're NOT ABOUT TO ASSIMILATE and obey our laws, they are actively trying to undermine and tear down our UNITY as a nation.

We don't have to all be a bunch of clones, but we have to maintain the desire and goal to strive to be a country that is united. When Americans see that desire in newcomers to America, we open our arms and say, Welcome American Brother and Sister, and we are sincere in what we mean.

United we stand, divided we fall. It's as simple as that.

I disagree. Maybe you have forgotten the anti-American demonstrations and pro-illegal rallies recently where 500,000 legal along with illegal immigrants took over the streets of LA ?? The American-undermining concepts of Reconquista and Aztlan were a common theme. It was not very difficult to recognize the ethnicity of those burning American flags.
LULAC, LA RAZA, MEChA along with other organizations promote radical ethnic seperatism on a daily basis throughout the USA.
Every month, more illegal Hispanic aliens infiltrate our southern border than the entire three-division US Marine force that assulted Iwo Jima during WWII.
Compassionate conservatism on your part only promotes cultural imperialism with these people. Considering their very high birth rates along with the massive illegal invasion, Latinos, Chicanos, Hispanics, Mexicans (whatever you want to call them) will be the majority in this country within 10 years by some estimates.
Since 90% (legal or illegal) Mexicans are willing instruments of the Mexican government, ethnicity has everything in the world to do with our immigration problems. We simply do not need the entire country of Mexico living in the United States. Anyone that does not understand this should learn to speak Spanish!!!

What I meant was, it is not about race or ethnicity on OUR side of this issue. As long as people come to the USA legally, assimilate into our culture, and become Americans, it does not matter what ethnicity they are. Yes, you are correct, THEY are all about racisim, however.
