Harkin, King trade jabs on immigration

DES MOINES — Sen. Tom Harkin and Rep. Steve King traded attacks on Thursday over immigration legislation, with Harkin calling King an irresponsible attention-seeker and King replying that Harkin hasn’t done enough to say where he stands on the issue.

Harkin fired the first shot in a conference call with reporters when he was asked to comment on King’s outspoken opposition to the Senate immigration bill. King has said that each senator who votes for the bill should “wear a scarlet letter A for amnesty.â€

Way to go King stick to your guns, only the cowards won't speak out how they stand on immigration!

Harkin only wants to give immigration amnesty and no nothing else. Sitting on side is exact what he is doing. If he was doing anything he would be asking why our immigration laws are being enforced. He would be pushing for more enforcement and know the results of 1348 instead of saying this is good for the country.
