Pickup flips in downtown SL
Police cars were arriving in this scene taken from the west right after the accident. Adam Kutz holds up a finger to Police Chief Mark Prosser to indicate the number inside injured. Adam is a volunteer firefighter who owns A&A Automotive a block south of the accident. He heard the crash and rushed to the scene. On the right is Officer Brad Thiele looking into the vehicle and on the far left a man helping with translation. Officer Gracie Vrieze is on the far right holding the license plate of the unknown van which she just picked up off the pavement.

Van leaves scene, suspected driver later arrested
Storm Lake police have arrested the suspected hit-and-run van driver who allegedly struck a pickup late Thursday afternoon, landing the truck on its top in the middle of East Fifth Street, with four people inside.

Missing van driver found, charged
Juan Ponce-Deloera, 21, was charged with leaving the scene of an accident Thursday and with having no insurance after the van he was driving collided with and flipped a truck at the bank corners in Storm Lake about 4:47 p.m. Ponce-Deloera was held for federal immigration authorities as he is in the country illegally.
