People in this state are trying. There's always the select few who stop anything we try and do. AGAIN they tried to get the recall passed......people want it, the house passes it and it stalls in the Senate with his cronies standing behind him. It is really unbelievable how it works.

If you notice, this ALL KIDS program sets the adult age at 21 -- not 18 which is the criminal law standard for adulthood. I think that this Federal program for children ( for which illegals are not elibile) also sets the age at 21 -- but it may only apply if the child is in school or being supported by his/her parents.

Some of these insurance programs for children had a different age limit for children than that which is set in criminal law. Personally I think it should be the same -- 18.

In this state at 16 you can get an abortion without parental consent. At 16 you can emancipate yourself from your parents, drop out of school and sign up for the military. Yet an 18 yr old can be charged with statutory rape for sex with a 16 yr old. They need to make up their minds. Too young to have sex but old enough to get an abortion? Old enough to go to war but not old enough to be responsible for your medical expenses.

!8 was the line for adulthood as far as I knew and otherwise you had to be a full time college student beyond that to be covered under most insurances. My ex-husband had insurance for our daughter......they cut her off at 18.

We have parents with 20 somethings at home and can't get rid of them.

There was a line and there needs to be another one drawn.

I was all for 18, but right now.....I'm shooting for 16 since they seem to have more rights that the parent.
