On Friday, police in Dayton arrested Jean Paul Mpanurwa, 26, after he reportedly attacked a 90-year-old woman last month, while she was walking along a bike path.

The sexual assault occurred around 9:30 p.m. on July 14.

The elderly woman was out for a walk when the suspect grabbed her by the hand and led her to the back of a nearby building, according to police.

She was shoved to the ground and raped.

The victim then walked home and informed her son of the brutal attack.

A rape exam was performed on the woman at a local emergency room, and DNA evidence was found.

Mpanurwa has been charged with rape, felonious assault and kidnapping. He is currently being held at the Montgomery County Jail on an immigration detainer.

Of course, that's only half of the story...

-In 2012, Mpanurwa pleaded guilty to a sex crime in Utah, and pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct in Riverside, Ohio, earlier this year.

-Dayton police have announced that Mpanurwa has been in the United States on a student visa for the last nine years.

-On Tuesday, it was reported that the only education program with which Mpanurwa has been involved is Clearfield Job Corps in Utah, and he was dismissed from that after his sex crime conviction.

So, why was this dangerous foreign criminal allowed to stay in the country?

Dayton's 2 News reported:

"During 2 NEWS at 6 we received this statement from Andrew Munoz at ICE, 'U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has lodged an immigration detainer against Mr. Mpanurwa , which indicates ICE’s interest in pursuing immigration enforcement action at the conclusion of Ohio’s proceedings against him.

Regarding his past conviction, Mr. Mpanurwa’s case was reviewed after his October 2012 Utah arrest. At that time, ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations officers determined he was in the country lawfully and that his misdemeanor conviction would not make him deportable under the law. As such, ICE took no further action.'"

So, there you have it...

Yet another example of how Obama's lawless attitude toward foreign nationals has placed all Americans at risk of violent crime.
