Illegal alien charged with raping minor in North Carolina


Mauro Guadalupe Estrada Credit: Cumberland County Sheriff's Office

On Tuesday, Cumberland County sheriff's deputies arrested Mauro Guadalupe Estrada, 21, after the 14-year-old victim reported that she had been forced to engage in sex acts with Estrada.

Debbie Tanna, spokeswoman for the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office said the alleged rape occurred just after midnight on Monday at the home of the victim's sister.

The Mexican national has been charged with statutory rape.

Estrada is currently being held in the Cumberland County Jail Detention Center on an Immigration and Customs Enforcement detainer.
