Illegal alien known as 'Five Points Rapist' raped two young girls in Dallas

Rico has a long criminal history in the Dallas area, dating back to 1994 with arrests for prostitution, weapons charges, multiple counts of burglary and assault.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials never offered a clear explanation as to why this happened.


On Wednesday, Jose Adan Rico, 38, was convicted on two counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child, thus ending the reign of terror created by the man known as the "Five Points Rapist."

Rico broke into the homes of young girls early in the morning, as they were getting ready for school, restrained them with duct tape and raped them at gunpoint, according to court documents.

The Dallas Morning News reported:

Prosecutors described the brutal home-invasion rapes in October 2008 and January 2009. They said Rico bound the victims with clear duct tape and taped their eyes shut, telling one of them, "I have a gun. I will kill you."

Detectives found DNA evidence on both victims that was later linked to the Mexican national when he was arrested on a burglary charge in March 2009, months after the second assault.

Of course, Dallas operates under a 'sanctuary policy,' as such, local law enforcement is barred from reporting illegal aliens to federal authorities, unless their crimes are of a more serious nature, such as rape or murder.

In Rico's case, he was actually deported in 2009, while he was awaiting trial for the child rape. It took another four years to locate and extradite him back to the U.S.

Rico is facing up to life in prison, when sentenced on Feb. 20.
