MILWAUKIE, Ore. – A fast food employee was arrested for rape and sex abuse after an attack on a coworker in a restroom Sunday.

Clackamas County Sheriff's were called to a Wendy's restaurant on SE McLoughlin Boulevard around 5:30 Sunday evening.

Witnesses led police to arrest 29-year-old Evanivaldo Alejo Sebastian, of Gladstone. Deputies called a victim advocate to meet with the woman at a local hospital.

Phuc Nguyen, the Wendy's franchise owner, released a statement saying: "We are shocked that this incident happened at our restaurant. We try very hard to provide a safe environment for our employees and customers."

He obviously didn't try at all to provide a "safe" environment since he hired this guy.

No mention of this guy's legal status?

It's on the second link, he has an immigration hold. He's illegal.

In my opinion, Wendy's does not do enough to screen their employees.

How did the SCUM get a job at Wendys? The victim should sue the owner and manager. I hope the rapist gets the max and then deported.

I hope the victim gets the max from Wendy's. I hope it shuts them down. I think the manager should be charged as an accessory before the act!!!!

And didn't someone say in the Fast Food thread last week that fast food places didn't hire illegals? I would say this is proof. Wendy's should be ashamed! Dave Thomas is probably rolling in his grave.

I stopped going to Wendy's back in 200 when they sent my wife to the hospital. She is allergic to penicillin and apparently they served her moldy bread. Go to Jack in the Box. They use E-Verify

I would love to know if any of these fast-fodder franchises make their own decisions about using E-Verify, or if corporate has any input.

Gladstone man held in rape of fellow employee

OREGON CITY -- A Gladstone man is facing charges in the rape of a fellow employee of a Milwaukie fast-food restaurant.

Evanivaldo Alejo Sebastian, 29, is set to be arraigned today in Clackamas County Circuit Court on charges of first-degree rape and third-degree sexual abuse. He is being held in the Clackamas County Jail on $257,500 bail.

Detective Jim Strovink, Clackamas County sheriff's spokesman, said a 19-year-old woman called to tell police she had been raped in the bathroom of a fast-food restaurant where she and Alejo Sebastian worked. Strovink said the woman was then medically evaluated at a local hospital, assisted by a victim advocate.

Investigators interviewed the woman, witnesses and Alejo Sebastian before arresting him, Strovink said.
