I started out that way, but after reading topics and comments from all of the friendly members on this site, I finally found others that felt the same way I do about illegal Immigration. You and I and some others here are right in the heart of the problem and have a daily visual of what`s going on. So this is where I come to vent. It really does bring me some relief.
While I`m on the subject,
I want to thank W and every member here for the relief that you all bring me.------------------------

This is a public forum that is read by people other than Democrat office holders in California.
Why alienate millions of supporters of immigration enforcement?
Referring to Democrats as "Demorats" is not helpful in the effort to stop illegal immigration.
All it does is embarass those of us who are encouraging Democratic Public Officials to participate in ALIPAC supported projects and increases the resistance to our enforcement message.
Furthermore, the majority of Democratic voters support the enforcement of immigration laws as Republicans do.
I hope this is helpful in explaining my interests.

The point is, this is a story about California, and in California I challange you or anyone else to find me one Democrat in public office that opposes illegal immigration.
Hell, just yesterday they passed a bill that would give only illegal aliens financial aid using taxpay money to attend college.
Let me repeat that: the bill only gives taxpayer funded financial aid to illegal aliens.
Not only is this an outrage, it would also be blatantly illegal we're it done for any other group.
Now no one who has read my past posts can say I don't slam Republicans repeatedly over their failure to act on this issue. Yet I've never seen a single posting telling me to knock it off because it may hurt the recruitment of Republicans to the cause.
The truth hurts, and it's time for both Democrats and Republicans to realize that blindly following the party line is causing irrepreable damage to this country.
Get over being a member of a party or a special interest group. It's time to be an American first, because if that doesn't happen, this country is finished. It's like hell vomited and the Bush administration appeared.

I agree.
I live in Mexifornia too and it is the Democrat Party in California that is responsible for much of the invasion from Mexico.
Every one of the Illegal bills that is passed in the California Legislature is proposed and passed by the Democrat majority that runs our state Government.
Their Bills serve only to attract Illegals because they offer more freebies to Illegals and not Californians. With a college education costing an average of $30,000 in state universities that was one massive freebie.
Arnold concerns me too because of the way he has been voting lately to appease the Illegal crowd. He refuses to put the national guard on the border and blames the feds when ever he is asked about the immigration problem.
In other words, he could care less.Is this Mexico or the USA

Illegal immigrant driver's license bill is back
Illegal immigrant driver's license bill is back
Assembly passes plan that's dependent on federal rules, funding

Legislation to allow illegal immigrants in California apply for driver's licenses was resurrected Monday in a weakened version that's contingent on federal funding.
Senate Bill 1162 by Sen. Gil Cedillo, D-Los Angeles, was approved by Democrats in the Assembly on a 42-34 vote, a week after Democrats derailed its precursor, fearing a voter backlash in November.
The emotionally charged measure still requires confirmation by the state Senate, which passed an earlier version, SB 1160. It also faces a likely veto by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, who vetoed similar legislation last year.
Unlike SB 1160, the amended legislation does not require state funding. It would be implemented only after the state receives funding from the federal Real ID Act of 2005, which requires every state to issue licenses that comply with a national standard.
The law, passed in response to the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, allows states to provide driving-only licenses to illegal immigrants.
But those licenses must have a distinguishing color or mark, a provision that Cedillo -- who has waged an unsuccessful eight-year battle to obtain licenses for illegal immigrants -- once resisted.
Under SB 1162, license applicants would have to undergo a background check and would be barred from obtaining a license if they have been convicted of any public offense, other than driving without a license, or other federal crimes.
The cost of fingerprinting and the background check would be the responsibility of the applicant.
Cedillo and other Democratic supporters of the legislation contend licensing the estimated 2 million illegal immigrants who drive in California will make roads safer.
But Republicans called the amended legislation, which must pass before the legislative session ends Thursday, a backdoor gambit.
"This is a ruse we should not fall for because (the Real ID) regulations have not yet been published," said Assemblyman John Benoit, R-Palm Desert.
"It's not sufficient justification, in any circumstances, to give a driver's license, or documents of legality, to people who are here illegally."
But Assemblyman Alberto Torrico, D-Newark, said Republicans should deal with the "reality" that illegal immigrants are driving.
"These people are living in this country, they're working in this country, they're paying taxes," Torrico said. "If you want to keep track of immigrants and you're scared of terrorism, vote for this bill."
Schwarzenegger, who repealed a license law shortly after taking office in 2003, has said he will wait until Real ID Act regulations are published before revisiting the issue.
Such regulations are not expected to be formulated until later this year. But Cedillo insisted SB 1162 addresses the governor's concerns.
"This bill will go into effect at the beginning of (2007), by which time we should have the regulations," the senator said.

Schwarzenegger To Veto Illegal Immigrant Licenses
(AP) SACRAMENTO A bill allowing illegal immigrants to obtain state driver's licenses has passed the Legislature, but Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has said he will veto it.
The Senate passed the measure yesterday. Supporters say the bill would make the roads safer because illegal immigrants would have to pass the state's driving test and get insurance.
Critics say giving licenses to illegal immigrants rewards lawbreakers and creates national security concerns.
