    Illegal Files Lawsuit against city

Lawsuits filed against city in Sonnenberg shooting

    By Corinthia McCoy
    cmccoy@greenbaypressgazette.com

Attorneys for the family of a man killed by police and a man shot by officers during the same incident have filed claims to sue the city of Green Bay.

The family of Ben Sonnenberg filed a claim Thursday, shortly after Cesar Grijalva-Ortiz and family filed theirs.

Sonnenberg, 25, was shot 11 times and killed during a traffic stop on April 21 outside of Studio 720, 720 Bodart St. Grijalva-Ortiz, 31, was shot accidentally while inside the club.

Neither claim specifies the amount of damages.

    Illegal Files Lawsuit against city

"...Grijalva-Ortiz's attorney said her client has the right to sue under a more than 20-year-old Supreme Court decision."

Does anyone know specifically which Supreme Court decision this was?

Sounds like the supreme court needs to revisit this question.

It would seem to me the city could claim,Since Ortiz is in this country Illegally he cannot claim damages since he was somewhere he should not have been and would not have been shot had he obeyed our immigration laws.

American courts were formed for Americans
..guess what the illegal advocates will say if this is the case... "The American justice system is broken...it has to be changed.. blah blah!"

illegals keep saying it is the Fed's job to deal with immigration. Who's in charge of the Federal gov't? ..who and where are they? do they have enough manpower??
