LEE COUNTY: A two car rollover accident shut down the east and west bound lanes of State Road 82 at Daniels Parkway for several hours Friday morning.

The accident involved a white car and a green minivan. According to witnesses, the green minivan was swerving in and out of traffic and clipped the white car head on - which sent both vehicles rolling.

Emergency crews had to use the jaws of life to free the driver of the white car.

He was airlifted to Lee Memorial Hospital for treatment. His name has not been released.

The driver of the green minivan, Adalberto Dos Santos, was arrested because authorities say he is in the country illegally and was driving without a license. Deputies say he could be deported.

Several other people were in the mini-van with Dos Santos, but they ran from the scene after the accident.
