Cesar Vargas, New York’s first openly undocumented attorney, compared overstaying a visa in the United States to getting a parking ticket Friday on Tucker Carlson Tonight.

“Doesn’t it make your job harder when we’re making the bad guys law enforcement?” asked host Brian Kilmeade, sitting in for Carlson.


“I think there are bad guys in law enforcement,” Vargas responded. Kilmeade interjected, saying law enforcement officials make “$60,000 to walk out with a kevlar vest everyday, and in Philadelphia they are screamed at and spit on.”

Kilmeade then asked Vargas if law enforcement officers should enforce laws on visa overstays, to which Vargas responded that law enforcement officers should “focus on fighting crime in their communities, and they should be building relationships with their immigrant communities to ensure that we are investigating violent offenses.”

When asked if it should be a crime to overstay a visa or to be in the United States illegally, Vargas retorted, “It’s a civil offense — it’s just like getting a parking ticket.”

LOL!! Yeah, I saw that interview. I wanted to throw something at the television. This guy is an illegal alien activist speaking. This is why they do not ever make good citizens. They ain't right. They view the entire world through their own illegal experience. No amount of opportunity or even education as this guy proves will ever make him American.

Both are deportable offenses which is what matters under immigration law. Immigration law isn't there to define "criminals", it's there to ensure we have a legal population occupying this country. Get 'em out and keep 'em out. Very simple. This guy should have been deported years ago, not taking up a seat in a law school or running his mouth on Fox News defending illegal aliens. It's insanity!
