Thread: Illegal immigrant who killed homeowner gets 25 years

A Jamaican man who was illegally in the United States when he fatally shot another man was slapped with 25 years behind bars Monday.

Kensil Fender admitted in December to shooting Rowan Clarke more than a decade ago during a botched home invasion.

The 36-year-old will be deported after he serves out his sentence.

Fender was linked to the killing because of DNA left on a piece of jewelry in 2007, as he and an unnamed co-conspirator forced their way into Clarke’s Manhattan home, thinking Clarke had a stash of illegal drugs and drug profits.

“More than a decade ago, Fender murdered a man while trying to commit a home-invasion drug robbery,” US Attorney Richard Donoghue said in a statement after the sentencing. “With today’s sentence, he learns that justice does not forget and does not rest.”

Great...WE get to pay for 25 YEARS at $30,000 a year and then he gets deported!

Bring back immediate death penalty. I do not want to pay for his food or medical care for the next 25 years!
