    RIO GRANDE CITY - Six illegals are in Border Patrol custody. They were detained on school property Wednesday in Rio Grande City.

    CHANNEL 5 NEWS saw the illegals leaning up against the fence of Ringgold Elementary around 3 Wednesday afternoon.

    The superintendent of Rio Grande City schools says the illegals were on school property while children were inside the school.

    Border Patrol agents say a woman in the group was driving the car. One person is Mexican, but we don't know the nationalities of the others.

    The superintendent says he usually gets calls about illegals near Fort Ringgold, which is near the school but not on school property.
