Glad they are waking up to this issue. And in effect this means that there are probably close to double the number of illegal immigrants that they routinely quote: 11 million border jumpers ( at the very least) and then an equal number of visa overstays, approximately. Then we get the defacto citizen children of illegal entries and the low level crooks that get to remain because they are undetected.

And this is going on in a lot of other countries, too, although they may not have the same overall draws that the US has. But wherever there is a welfare state established plus a crop of idealistic young people and para legal professionals, you get a vested group of people trying to make the situation bigger.
