A spot check in Falfurrias, Tex., allegedly revealed one man in the appliance and four others in a cardboard box loaded onto a U-Haul

An illegal immigrant reportedly hid inside a washing machine to enter the U.S. from Mexico.

But border patrol officers discovered the man curled up in the appliance's drum, which had been lifted into the back of a U-Haul. Four others, who were stowed inside a cardboard box, were also found in the spot check in Falfurrias, Tex., at 8 p.m. on Friday.

All five unauthorized immigrants were detained and offered medical attention, which they declined.

The man driving the vehicle, and his female passenger, were also arrested, reports Action 4 News.

Homeland security is investigating.

Hopefully they were deported. However, unfortunately, they'll try again tomorrow, next week, or next month. In other words, they'll attempt entry until successful. Just sending them back across the border without prosecution encourages them to continue attempting illegal entry without fear.
