Immigrant Community Not Only Growing in Size but Also in Pow
Immigrant Community Not Only Growing in Size but Also in
Published at 8:19 am, December 19,
The five Democrats who voted against the DREAM Act and ultimately lead to its failing in the Senate yesterday will not soon be forgotten. The immigrant community is growing not only in numbers, but they are increasing their power by becoming more politically aware.
Democrats who voted no: Max Baucus and John Tester of Montana, Kay Hagan of North Carolina, Ben Nelson of Nebraska, and Mark Pryor of Arkansas.
President Obama received a message from the newly empowered Republicans yesterday that his priority on immigration is not theirs. Obama’s approach was to increase border security and workplace enforcement to entice the Republicans to support the DREAM Act, a piece of legislation that only benefits children brought here illegally. Clearly this strategy did not work and now Obama will face growing pressure by Latino groups to do something. Latino’s came out in strength in the mid-term elections and are responsible for saving the Democratic Majority in the Senate.
Despite the defeat, Democrats who supported the bill said they would continue to push for it. “As long as these young people are determined to be part of this great nation, I am determined to fight for them to call America home,â€

I don't believe for one minute that Latinos saved a dem majority - except for Harry Reid - but rather that many dems were not up for re-election this year. We'll get many of them voted out of office next time up."A Nation of sheep will beget a government of Wolves" -Edward R. Murrow

Every single thing about La Raza is about recasting our country into an American Canada. It is about galvanizing latinos into action to push for balkanization of this country. Spanish television, radio, newspapers, books etc. And what is really Hispanic marketing all about. It's so obvious! We need to put these people on the spot, ask them what exactly do they want. Very soon you will see politicians agree to fund Spanish speaking universities to help churn out a Spanish speaking middle class. It's so obvious what is going on. It's as obvious as a nose in the middle of teh face and all of America is still handling this with kids gloves.
Enough and it is time to defund any and ALL Spanish language initiatives in this country that have nothing to do with helping so-called Hispanic assimilate!
