Bush spent so much of his political capital on CAFTA and the energy bill that he just might not have the 'stuff' to get what he truly wants on immigration reform...which, to me, seems like open borders...that's what we've got now.
His recent ratings will have a LOT of politicians backing away from him as they would a fish lying two days in the sun. Had they been a little smarter they would have done that a LOT sooner.

He's still got an awful lot of your money to give away to get what he wants, and money's better that political capital any day of the week.It's like hell vomited and the Bush administration appeared.

Not MY money, count. I decided not to pay taxes since I'm not getting anything from my government. All the taxes I pay are city sales tax on groceries. I'm not spending anything else. A tank of gas maybe every 3 months.
