The Citizenship and Immigration Services agency is looking for a new computer database that can link, mine and analyze data from its investigations unit, according to a notice posted Tuesday.

The government published a request for proposals for a commercial database that provides an integrated data collection system to track investigations.

It must integrate and link with existing data and afford extensive data mining capability, the notice states. The database also must be searchable, with records management and geographic capabilities.

In addition, the system must have the ability to integrate with mobile devices, handle live uploads of security incidents and take photos and print temporary badges for visitors.

The notice does not specify a dollar amount for the IT contract.
