Teens Disciplined for Controversial Fliers

FOREST GROVE - Three high school students are in trouble for expressing their opinion over illegal immigration.

The teens were disciplined after passing out fliers on campus at Forest Grove High School.

School officials say they stopped the kids because the flier wasn't approved ahead of time.

Freshman Dalton Gallamore was one of the students who made the flier, and says the it was a response to an upcoming rally where protesters will demonstrated against new immigration reform laws.

But others say it goes too far, making threats against illegal immigrants.

School officials tell FOX 12 the flier would not have been allowed anyway because they consider some of the content threatening. :

Legal experts say kids do not have absolute First Amendment protection on campus and school officials can censor certain material for certain reasons

Why aren't they censoring the other side? Why do non-citizens have more rights than legal citizens? I hope the kids do understand this.

looks like we will have more angry parents on our side!

-- this is getting down right ridiculous when juvenile citizens of this country cannot fly their flag or defend their rights, but the illegals can do whatever they please

Hello....How did my story get to you guys??? Well i am a 15 year old student and i did what i did because the immigrants legal aand non can do what ever they want... when i do something i get punished..That is just wrong.. any one wanting me to email a copy of the letter i passed out email me at daltongallamore@yahoo.com... you did good and have a right to stand up for your country. When I was in grade school I had a teacher that had prayer every morning, he had the blessing at lunch every day, he played the piano and we sang patriotic songs every morning and we stood around the flag pole and said the pledge every morning ... he was one of the most patriotic teachers I ever had

I applaud you!!! No offense to you, but so many kids have no idea what is at stake (my 8 year old does, because that's all he hears ). But most kids are being brainwashed by teachers and don't know the truth. Thanks for taking a stand. It takes a lot of courage and you are making a difference. I just emailed you for a copy of the flier, but please do post it here.
