    L. A. Falls from Top 10 Economic Powerhouses

And by the time Villar leaves next year, L.A. will be dead LAST. He kept his promise to "work closely with Mexico in shaping his policies"!!! Promises made, promises kept (his favorite cliche)!

Los Angeles fell out of the top 10 cities as measured by their economic strength, while European and Asian cities were found to have the fastest-rising economies, according to the latest edition of an annual survey.

Between last year and this, Los Angeles fell from 10th to 17th on the annual Mastercard Worldwide Centers of Commerce Index.

The study blamed Los Angele's fall on "factors around its role in the global financial services network, as well as the rise of European cities in the area of knowledge creation."

The study ranked L.A. fourth among North American metropolises, behind New York, Chicago and Toronto.

A MasterCard economist said eight Asian cities are in the Top 25 list this year.

London was found to be the most-important financial center in the world.

The survey also found that Los Angeles ranks second in the United States behind New York for the strength of its business-support services, such as travel options, hotels and other business-oriented activities.

Los Angeles' airport system ranked ninth, behind five other cities, and its "knowledge creation and information flow" ranked third in the nation and 10th in the world.

The number of high quality universities in the Southland was ranked third in the world, behind New York and Bangalore, India.

The survey ranked U.S. cities as a group 15th for economic security, behind such nations as Austria, Portugal and France.

On the positive side, the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach were ranked first in the world.

I just don't know what anyone in LA expects would happen.

LA has turned into nothing short of a slum in Mexico, Villar is letting common sense programs such as graffitti removal and pothole repair go so he can continue to finance millions of illegals, it's gang infested, they are taxing anyone with a single cent left to their name half to death.

Do they really expect businesses to stay there let alone go there if they aren't already, or tourists to be anxious to visit?

The Mayor and his crew should be congratulated

Second grade educations and vegetable picking seems like a bad plan for the future of the United States.

On the positive side, the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach were ranked first in the world.
And these have been slated to be replaced by facilities in Mexico and the Nafta Superhighway.

L.A. has turned into a 3rd world dump. It didnt take long either. Runaway illegal immigration and an incompetent mayor are to blame. That is what happens to cities that are run by people who arent working for the interest of Americans, but for interest of "their own" people.

Not to worry, L.A. is not alone, Houston has a mayor cut from the same Elitist mode and gives every indication he intends on turning "his" city into a Third World County "city"!

The Elitist Politicians, their Elitist Contributors. Big Labor, Big Religion, Chamber of Commerce, Special Interest Groups, and former Elitist presidents of Third World Countries consider United States citizens only as "units of labor" and the sooner we become a Third World Country the better for their "bottom line"! Our Elitist politicians and their Elitist political contributors will not be happy until they transform the United States into a Third World Country for most of our citizens while furnishing the Chamber of Commerce and all their Elitist Special Interest Groups with their supply of "cheap labor". The elitist politicians are providing "benefits" to the ILLEGALS on the backs of United States citizens through our assets such as the Education System, Social Security, and Health Care not to mention our National Security!

Not quite. Every body here and their lifetime potential as an earner and a consumer are "collateral" for Chinese loans.

True enough as a consumer but at a Third World Level for their One World Market and the Elitist's Profits will continue to grow as long as their One World does not fall apart!

The LA Times helped to cause this drop, do you think they will have it in big headlines on the front page?
