Gogo, I was about to upload it onto Youtube (you first have to e-mail the video to yourself and then save it). However, in doing so, YT asked me to verify that I had permission to do so (copyright issues). I'm not sure if the La Times gives implied permission to use their videos once they publish them.

The last thing I need right now is a lawsuit from the La Times for copyright infringement, despite the fact i'm using the video for educational and not commercial purposes.

I just don't know...

Oh yes that might be a problem. You could call the author of the piece and ask if you can put it on YouTube. You never know.
